OLED Screens are Confirmed for New iPhone 8 in the $4.3 Billion deal with Samsung

I speculated in this article about my hopes and predictions for the iPhone 8 that only premium models would ship with OLED screens. However, a deal between Apple and Samsung that was unearthed today may prove differently.

Apple struck a $4.3 billion deal with Samsung that would supply Apple with 60 million of the OLED screens. This is not the first deal between the two giants, in late 2016 or early 2017, Apple had signed a deal for 100 million of the OLED screens. This means that not only are OLED screens a definite, they are a definite for every model of iPhone to be released this year.

As always, stay tuned for the latest Apple and tech news with OSXavier!
